Happy Read a Book Day

By September 6, 2017 Good News

It’s National Read a Book Day! (As if we, at the Good Things studio, needed a reason to read a book.)

I didn’t start off as a reader. It wasn’t until I became an adult did I start enjoying it. Because I missed out on children’s books, I’ll pick one up and catch up on what I missed.

Some of my favorite books:

  • Series, specifically fantasy (because I love seeing characters progress, and because Harry Potter)
  • Contemporary chick lit (because they’re fun and funny, and sometimes even tug at the heartstrings)
  • Non-fiction (I tend to pick up a lot of organizing and productivity books, but I have Ron Chernow’s Alexander Hamilton next up)

I also tend to read more than one book at any given time. I’ll have an audio book queued up for the drive home. I’ll have an e-book loaded on my Kindle when I need to read a book before bed or while away from home. I have a physical book that I pick up when I feel like curling up on the couch and getting lost in a story.

If you ever want to see what I’m reading, check out my profile on Goodreads. Next week, I’ll share what I’m reading—in the meantime, what are you reading and what are your favorite books?
